Editor:> Thanks you Nelson for this very special interview ... It has been quite a while since I last heard about you and your inventions.... I would like to begin with your personal history. Could you please tell where, and when you were born? Nelson: I was born in Valparaiso, Chile, South America on June 03, 1948. Editor:> What were your interests when exploring your youth? Nelson: I was exploring the new technologies and how to upgrade the prior art. Editor:> When did you begin your academic pursuit into science and what classes did you take? Nelson: I was studying Electronics and Nuclear Physics. Nuclear Physics at Princeton University and MIT( USA ) Electronics Engineering and Electronics PhD at Universidad Tecnica Unida, Buenos Aires,Argentina Editor:> What classes did you excel in the most? Nelson: Electronics Applications and Bio-Technology. Editor:> What did you discover in your study of lightning? Nelson: I discovered HOW to transmute the Nitrogen of the air to Hydrogen and Oxygen . Editor:> What was the first positive results in your experiments that confirmed you had found an innovative storage source? Nelson: Creation of different elements of the periodic table with more atomic mass. Producing water in deserts. Editor:> How did you in incorporate that knowledge in your first battery? Nelson: Creating an electrolyte with more electrical conductivity than the regular prior art electrolytes. Editor:> Were there many stages of battery development? Nelson: Yes, the first one was the Nithium Ion using ATP electrolyte, second one was the Hybrid Sulphur Lead using ADP electrolyte with sulphur acid, and the last one was the Urine Battery as a generator. Editor:> How does the Urine Battery work? Nelson: The Urine battery uses Zinc/Air plates with ATP from urine as Fuel. Editor:> Could you expand upon the reaction on ATP ( adenosine tri-phosphate ) with ADP ( adenosine diphosphate ) in uric acid that is an important part for the electrical storage capacity of the Urine Battery? Nelson: The fast conversion of ATP to ADP is the principal reaction to generate electricity from the urine. Editor:> Is it true that a diet of garlic, red meat, and hot spices will strengthen the Urine Battery's working electrolyte, Uric Acid? Nelson: Garlic, red meat, onions, and hot pepper will accelerate the ATP to ADP conversion thus creating more power. Editor:> Is there a optimum diet that you have found to be the best for the creation of the Uric Acid electrolyte? Nelson: Salad with onions, garlic, hot peppers, and tomatoes / lettuce will increase almost 40% the power output. Editor:> Is it true that one experimental charging unit consisted of an AC wave produced through an audio amplifier, and that "Salsa Music" ( highly agitated rhythm ) would create the best rechargeable energetic reaction for the battery? Nelson: You can produce better charge on batteries using sound pulse frequencies from 400Hz to 2KHz. Editor:> Currently, you have been developing a stackable electrolytic cell called the "AC Battery" and built a demo unit for Los Angeles Department of Power and Light. Could you provide some details about the unit, like the capacity and results from their testing? Nelson: The demo set was 1KW AC pure true sine wave, charged during the night and usable at daily peak demand with over 80% efficiency. Editor:> How would the energy density of the AC Battery compare to a lead acid, nickel cadium, nickel metal hydride, and a hydrogen fuel cell? What benefits does the AC Battery system have versus the rest that are currently being used in the industry? Nelson: You can not compare apples with bananas, the AC battery produces AC and the prior art batteries are only DC, The AC ones are the best way, because all the home appliances are running with AC. Editor:> There are two models noted in your U.S patent 6,216,480 of the AC Battery. One unit is a Lithium Pb cell with a Sulphuric Acid electrolyte, and the other is a Lithium Pb cell with a Uric Acid electrolyte. Does one have more energy capacity than the other, and is there an advantage of one electrolyte versus the other? Nelson: The Lithium PB cell with uric acid electrolyte is better in performance and cost effective. Editor:> What would a 10 Kilowatt, 100 Kilowatt, and a 1 Megawatt system cost respectively? Are these units currently available? Nelson: The 10 KW per 1 Hr AC battery cost is $9,995, 100 KW per 1hr Ac Battery cost is $69,995 and 1 MW per 1 hr cost $ 499.995. At this time will be available with rush custom orders. Editor:> What is the smallest AC Battery that you have built, and what is it's performance characteristics? Nelson: 100 Watts per 1 hr. 110 VAC, 80% efficiency. Editor:> What type of charging does the AC Battery require? Nelson: The AC battery does not require charger, only you plug in during the night and play at any time. Editor:> On average, how fast can you charge a 10 KW AC Battery and how long can the systems supply power during the day? Nelson: Example 10 KW/hr. unit. You can charge the AC battery between 5 to 10 hours (night) when you complete 12 KW in total the AC battery is full charged. You will have in storage 10 KW available in power at 110 VAC, you can play a heater of 1 KW - 110 VAC for 10 hours long. Editor:> What are the maintenance and replacement battery costs for a 10 KW unit? Nelson: The customers require to replace the batteries every 5 years, the battery cost for 10 KW system is $2,000. Editor:> How would you approach a large business's peak energy demands with a 100 KW AC Battery so that the company gets a pay back in about 3 years? Nelson: The system is as follow: You, the customer make a arrangement with the utility company to selling power to you during the night at very low cost and you turn on your 100 HW AC battery during the daily peak demand at your convenience. You can buy at 4cents a KW night and discount in the meter during the day at 15 cents. You can get 11 cents less 20% of the AC battery losses you´ll get 8.8 cents per KW in profits. I do not calculate the period of time in years to get the investment back . Editor:> Is the AC Battery suitable for electric vehicles? Nelson: The AC battery is the best way for EVs. Editor:> During your studies and innovations, you discovered some insight into tiny negative particles of matter that are smaller than electrons which you named the "Neltron". Could you expand your theory upon this subject? Nelson: See the attachment of the The Neltron Way.* ( courtesy of Exotic Research Reports ) Editor:> Another invention, the Neltron Turbo-Battery, is the first fuel cell for an internal combustion engine, and can be built to supplement the fuel for any type or size of engine. It contains "Nithum", a reaction catalyst, along with a platinum style catalyst driver to electrochemically transform distilled H2O to hydrogen peroxide gas. How many different compounds of "Nithium" did you try before you had found what you were looking for? Nelson: See the attachment of the The Neltron Way.* ( courtesy of Exotic Research Reports ) Editor:> The H2O2 gas produced by the Turbo-Battery is added to the intake manifold of any engine, creating more horsepower and better mileage. Can you estimate the increase in mileage and horsepower? Nelson: See the attachment of the The Neltron Way.* ( courtesy of Exotic Research Reports ) Editor:> Can you estimate the amount of gaseous H2O2 cubic feet produced per amp hour along with the rate of dissipation of the distilled H2O when running an engine? Nelson: I did not measure it yet. Editor:> Can you estimate a retail cost for Turbo-Battery for a small compact car, to a SUV, and also a full size 18 wheeler? Do you currently have any for sale? Nelson: $1,000 for small cars and $4K for large trucks. I have not one for sale now. Only custom orders. Editor:> Does the technology you have incorporated into the Urine Battery, the AC Battery , and the Turbo-Battery share a universal bond? Is your "Nithium" present in all three of these batteries? Nelson: NITHIUM is already present in all my Technologies. Editor:> Of the many inventions that you have designed, which has your immediate interest in marketing as a revolutionary energy product? Nelson: 128 inventions are coming from NITHIUM tech. Editor:> You have designed a AC Solar Panel. Could you expand upon this device's features? Nelson: My PV array has over 20% efficiency and uses trucking system. PVs are from 12 VDC to 120 VAC from 100 watts to 1 MW. Editor:> Thank you for your time to answer these questions. Good luck with your many great inventions you have designed, and those to come! Nelson: I hope my responses will provide better knowledge about the Nithium Tech. Good luck..., let me know when you will appear with this background on your Web page. Editor:> Good Luck to you too, Dr. Camus. For inquiries contact: nelnithiumusa@hotmail.com |
