About 50 electric, hybrid, and fuel cell vehicles were gathered at the State Museum Center for the American Tour de Sol , a "Green Festival" promoting renewable energy and clean air in a multi-city tour of sustainable transportation solutions.

High schools, universities, and private corporation were exhibiting some of the most 'earth friendly' transportion designs in a week-long event that spans the east coast annually.

Vehicles prepared for the event register early in the year, or the previous year, and participate in the largest alternative transportation event in the US.
