This year's theme is "Renewable Energy, and Everything Good for Our Nation, Our Community, and Our Children". Our event is scheduled for July 18 & 19 at the Tehachapi City Park, located in downtown Tehachapi, California. Tehachapi is approx. 40 miles east of Bakersfield and approximately 100 miles north of Los Angeles. This year's event promises to be the best ever! The fair will include numerous educational exhibits, lectures and seminars, concessions, lots of music on outdoor stages, and great fun for the whole family!
Our event features renewable energy professionals in our "Science Place", where hands-on demonstrations of renewable energy devices, along with a dynamic presentations enlighten kids of all ages. Our goal is to provide a entertaining exhibition for the public, while maintaining a educational renewable energy exhibit for all present:
We are inviting you to join us at this event, and participate in showcasing your product, demonstrating your project, or advertising your service along with many others in our renewable energy exhibition area. There are many ways that you and your associates can be involved, all of which can be easily designed to suit your interests, with a minimal impact on your resources.
Along with lots of great entertainment, and good food, the following exhibition areas will be:
The Eclectic Exhibition Hall - Renewable Energy Exhibits, and more! Two 5,400 square foot enclosed canopy carpeted tents, and surrounding areas will house numerous renewable energy related exhibits and vendors. Come stroll among turbines, solar panels, electric and solar cars, including the Sunrayce 1999 Team Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and talk to professionals that live their lives for the sun. See one of the world's largest wind turbines and the smallest, and view in wonder at the solar trough from Boron, California. The exhibition area also includes individual exhibit spaces available in 10' x 10' increments at a cost. Special arrangements for non-profit groups can be made prior to the event. Special requests for signs, furniture, and booth furnishings may be obtained at a reasonable cost.
The "Why Renewables?" Meeting Place - A group of industry professionals and renewable energy enthusiasts will teach and demonstrate the latest in renewable technologies. Free public workshops from solar to wind, for large industry to home consumers will be scheduled for both days.
The Electrathon - Both Saturday and Sunday, watch as electric cars battle it out at over 30 miles per hour on battery power. Talk to the racers and see what it takes to build your own electric vehicle.
The Science Place - A wonderful collection of wisdom and wonder. A lively group of science advisors will host two full days of hands-on science experiments and creative renewable energy devices designed to challenge children of all ages. The Science Place exhibit challenges your ideas and increases your knowledge of the world around. Come hop on the human powered "peddlegenerator" and see how much energy you can muster!
